Elle à table: what goes under the tree?

Luberon excels at producing vibrant, sun-drenched wines like this one. Notes of ripe black fruit, garrigue and liquorice
and licorice on the palate. A wine that exudes Provence, ideal for cellaring for two or three years.

The expressive nose offers a lovely bouquet of fresh herbs, basil and coriander in particular. Spices take over on the palate, which is taut and lively overall. The finish is rounded off by a fine bitterness.

Figaro Magazine special rosés

Situated at the foot of the Luberon's southern slopes, the estate covers 22 hectares, planted with some 15 grape varieties grown on some 35 plots. This ampelographic diversity enables Romain Dol to create blends as daring as they are inspired. Like Mr Brun, a natural wine with no added sulfur, neither filtered nor fined, obtained by cold carbonic maceration and indigenous yeast. A blend of syrah, marselan and ugni blanc - in equal parts - this rosé is out of the ordinary, unclassifiable but oh-so-jubilant. The winemaker detects aromas of crushed strawberry, bramble, rhubarb and we, wild cranberry, blackberry and morello cherry. No clinging tannins. A lively, full-bodied mealtime wine, ideal with shellfish, pasta with pistou, camerones en persillade or strawberry tiramisu. A truly different sensory journey.

Terre de Vins : 150 shades of white

In blending the Amo and Les Soucas cuvées, Romain Dol has cleverly combined balances of vats, demi-muids and dolia, stored and re-stocked from one vintage to the next. In this case, 2020, 2021 and 2022. Viognier predominates, with rolle, clairette and grenache finely tuned in the blend. White fruits set the pace with apricot and mirabelle plum, barely tinged with wood. The greediness and roundness of the fruit are echoed on the palate, followed by citrus and lodé flavors that make you salivate. Punchy and elegant, a surprisingly ephemeral cuvée!
